EDUCATING THE GIRL CHILD

Educating the Girl Child is an initiative program by Chitravansham Society where we work with the government, various communities, and volunteers to ensure that every girl child around Prayagraj and its adjoining districts in the state of Uttar Pradesh gets quality education with the focus on their maximum enrollment in school and providing the best learning environment.

To achieve our goal of enrolling the maximum number of girls in school, the Chitravansham Society is encouraging girls to enrol in the governments open school system. We are conducting meetings at the community and village level and also hold counselling sessions for parents regularly through home visits, encouraging them to send their daughters to school.

Our program Educating the Girl Child aims to build a strong ecosystem to motivate girls to complete their matriculation so that can improve their life standards. We are using the latest technology to conduct a door-to-door survey and collect data on girls that have dropped out of school due to some or other reason.

We register all dropout girls with the open school system in the concerned district and provide training to our volunteers who hold camps at villages to retain the maximum number of girls in the camps. We also regularly monitor the progress of our program and prepare data on the number of girls appearing for their secondary board examinations. Once they receive the 10th-grade certificate, they can enrol for higher secondary or get connected to skilled training programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

If the base is strong, we give a child the capacity to pursue their goals in the future. If girls are not given a foundational education at an early age, they will remain unaware of all the job options available to them in the future and how it can change the quality of their lives and even their families.
Government volunteers and members of various communities assist us in holding meetings and counselling sessions for these kids as well as one-on-one sessions with their parents to convince them to enrol their daughters in Govt. open schools.
The Prayagraj region and all of its neighbouring districts in Uttar Pradesh are a particular focus of the campaign for girls. People in these areas are illiterate, which causes an excessive amount of girls to leave school. Therefore, its essential to educate them on the value of education for both their daughters futures and their own!
We try to make the most of any funds you provide, no matter how small or large, for the benefit of these girls. Thanks to your donations, our volunteers will be able to utilise stronger reasoning while counselling the children and meeting with their parents face-to-face.
We can only provide young girls with some sparking reasons to enrol in school because they are clearly not developed enough at this age to understand the benefits of education. Because of this, the parents of these girls need to be more aware of the importance of their daughters education.
The most common reasons include knowledge of the value of basic education, concern about the cost of school as a result of the financial crisis after COVID, and the continued belief that girls dont need as much education as boys in many regions of our nation.
